Handlebars and Seatposts

Handlebars, seat posts (or seat pillars if you prefer) for the Brompton folding bicycle range

Traditional Brompton folding bikes came in a choice of four handlebar types:

• Mid rise bars - originally known as M type - the original 
• High rise bars - originally known as H type - the same as the original, but with a longer stem for a higher ride position
• Low rise bars - originally known as S type - sports / straight
• P type - multi position for touring - this has now been discontinued though is often confused with the P Line

The bars - they are a changing!

With the T Line (and P Line electric) came a new handlebar - slightly thicker in diameter (31.8mm) and available in two types:

• Low rise
• Mid rise

These thicker diameter bars are also used on the P Line version 2 (the P Line with carbon front forks) and the C Line electric e-Motiq (the C Line Electric with the motor in the rear wheel)

Brompton seat posts come in three different sizes, and can be sized based on the riders inside leg measurement

• Standard - for riders with an inside leg measurement of up to 33 inches
• Extended length - for riders with an inside leg measurement of up to 35 inches
• Telescopic - for taller riders

There is also a carbon version of the standard and extended length seatpost that was launched with the T Line
