Service / Repair / Upgrades
Our tagline here at Brilliant Bikes is "Creating a better place ....."
We specialise in Brompton folding bikes including Brompton Electric, Yeti and Intense mountain bikes, Marin and Frog Kids bikes - and give these priority (and keep most parts needed for service / repair for them in stock)
Currently we have a high demand are a wait time for 6 weeks for other bikes - sorry!
Normally we provide service repair and upgrades on all makes and models
We do not do mobile servicing as we keep all the tools / frequently required parts in our workshop
We provide three basic levers of service - though more often than not we provide a bespoke service depending upon what works needs to be done:
Our general or bronze service price includes checking the complete bike, lubricating and adjusting parts where necessary and advising before fixing / replacing anything which would incur extra costs (brake pads are a common example)
We offer a silver service which in addition means that we also degrease the drivetrain (chain, sprockets/cassette and crankset) - to ensure that this is done efficiently and in environmentally friendly way we have a special bath which does the degreasing
We also offer a gold service which in addition means that we also replace gear and brake cables (inner and outer)
Replacement parts are charged on top of the service price
Sorry - we don't do the following:
- servicing on a Saturday
- servicing / repairs of non-bicycles
- servicing / repairs on electric bikes for brands not supplied by us
Puncture repairs are our most common repair - and can sometimes be done while you wait and take a coffee in Costa (just across the road from us) or Fego (just a few doors away) - though this isn't always possible - sorry!
For puncture repairs we charge just £7 plus the price of the replacement inner tube.
We don't charge a premium for Brompton puncture repairs like some shops do

We keep a large range of spare parts from Shimano / SRAM / Avid / Brompton and Hope to get your bike repaired and back on the road as quickly as possible. Campagnolo, Fox and RockShox can take a while longer as these parts are often ordered in specially.
