The Brompton P Line is the "Performance" range of Brompton bikes weighing from just 10 KG making the carrying parts of your journey easier (e.g. up the stairs too the office or between station platforms)
The P line was originally introduced in 2022,and has been updated for 2025 with a two gearing choices:
- 4-speed - using a light weight 4-speed derailleur system
- 12-speed - better for hilly areas combining the 4-speed derailleur with a 3-speed internal hub giving 12 gears in total
Brompton P Line features
- Mudguards front and rear
- Front carrier block for carrying luggage on the front of the Brompton
- Carbon front forks, alloy handlebar stem and titanium "advance" rear triangle
- Superlight removable pedal (introduced late 2023)
The P Line is available in the same 3 handlebar types / handlebar ride heights as the C Line
- Low - this was previously known as the S-type with a low / sporty ride position comparable with a drop handlebar racing / road bike
- Mid - this is the classic Brompton handlebar type previously known as the M-type
- High - this has the same shape bars as the Mid but with a slightly longer stem to give a more upright riding position as popular in The Netherlands / Germany and the Nordic countries
The P Line comes as standard with a choice of 3 seat post heights
- Standard - for riders with up to a 31 inch inside leg
- Extended - for slightly taller riders with an inside leg up to 35 inches
- Telescopic - for very tall riders
The P Line is available (for 2026) in the following colors:
- Matt Black
- Palm Green
- Plum Red
- Cloud Metallic
- Pacific Lacquer (a premium Finnish at extra cost)
The front forks and handlebar stem are black
Previous colors (no longer available)
The P Line originally (when launched) came in a choice of just two colours - these were:
- Midnight Black (Metallic finish)
- Storm Grey (Metallic finish)
In 2025 there were additional colours available:
- Bolt Blue Lacquer
- Bronze Sky
- Lunar Ice
- Amethyst Lacquer
We think that the most important thing in selecting the right size is a test ride on a demo (or 3) so you try all handlebar types
