Park Tool Bottom Bracket Tool - BBT-22
Made from investment cast steel, the BBT-22 utilizes a flat tooth profile to ensure maximum engagement with the bottom bracket cup.
Can be used with a 3/8" drive torque spanner, 3/8" ratchet spanner, 32mm spanner, FRW-1 Freewheel Remover Spanner, or 1" spanner.
Note: The BBT-22 was launched in January 2007.
The Park Tool BBT-22 is an updated version of the BBT-2.
The twenty tooth pattern is used on a wide variety of bottom brackets, including models from Shimano®, Truvativ®, Race Face®, FSA®, and others.
The tool clears the oversized spindles of ISIS Drive and Octalink
Instructions for Bottom Bracket removal:
Remove cranks
Fit the BBT-22 tool into the splines of the non-drive side (normally left side as you sit on the bike facing forwards) cup and turn anti-clockwise until removed.
Fit the BBT-22 tool into the splines of the drive side cup and turn clockwise (anti-clockwise for Italian threaded cups) until removed.
Instructions for Bottom Bracket installation / fitting:
Fit the BBT-22 tool into the drive side cup and turn anti-clockwise until tight (clockwise for Italian threaded cups) .
Fit the BBT-22 tool into the splines of the non-drive side and turn clockwise until tight.
