Note: The BBT-18 is an updated version of the BBT-8 tool

Fits 8 notch cups with a 36-38mm notch to notch diameter

The outside diameter of the tool has been changed so it provides a universal fit on the following eight-notch cups:

Shimano

  • Octalink bottom bracket right hand side bottom bracket cup with external notches
  • ISIS drive
  • ISIS overdrive

Bosch

  • Front chain lockring for Gen 3 and Gen 4 e-bike systems
  • CX 2020 onwards (Gen 4) motor drive side lockring

Truvativ

  • ISIS drive bottom bracket cups

Specialized

  • Levo e-bike systems with Brose motors

SRAM

  • e-bike systems with SRAM motors

The BBT-18 has 8 notches with an outside diameter of nominally 43.4mm. The inside-to-inside width is approximately 38mm. Each notch is approximately 3.9mm wide. The hole in the center of the casting is 22.5mm, and will not fit over the 30mm spindles.

The tool can be used with an adjustable spanner or a 36mm crow door adapter in conjunction with a torque wrench
