Brompton Superlight 12 speed rear wheel

Please note: This is the Brompton 12 speed rear wheel only - the version that comes with the 2024 P Line (non "aero" rim with Schrader valve hole)

This rear wheel is the result of colaboration between Brompton and Sturmey Archer - it's the wheel used on the new (launched in 2024) 12 speed Brompton P Line and C Line Electric folding bikes

  • Gear indicator nut (not indicator chain)

Are you buying this wheel for a 4 to 12 speed upgrade?

If yes - you will also need the following parts:

  • Brompton 12 speed gear indicator chain (Brompton ref: Q103215): QGICH3-12
  • Brompton hub gear cable pulley assembly: QCPULA
  • Brompton hub gear shifter, 3 speed with integrated brake lever - P / T line bikes have black shifter QGSHIFTR3A-BK
  • Brompton hub gear cable anchorage - Sturmey Archer: QGCABANC-SA
  • The correct 3 speed hub gear cable for your handlebar type:

Note:
The gear indicator chain is specifically made for Brompton for the 12 speed range of wheels and is different to the indicator chain used on previous Brompton 3 speed hub geared wheels (e.g. Brompton Wide Ratio - BWR, Brompton Standard Ratio - BSR) - the indicator chain is marked with an X

Another Note:
The Brompton sprocket stack is a separate item (not included) and can be found on the "related stuff" tab - this is because there is a choice of a single speed or four speed sprocket set as standard from Brompton. You may also wish to reuse your existing sprockets

Note:

The Brompton 12 speed Superlight wheel is only compatible with the advance rear frame found on the Brompton P Line and the Brompton C Line (also T Line but they didn't have these wheels fitted)

The wheel rim has an 8mm Schrader valve hole (non Aero wheel)
