The metro pouch in black was originally introduced in 2020, as part of the Brompton Metro luggage range (for cities), this pouch can be used anywhere!
It was originally introduced under disguise (in camouflage green) as an accessory luggage item with the Brompton Explore special edit folding bike. It's bigger than the previous range of Brompton saddle bag pouches
The Brompton Metro pouch is ideal for holding your riding essentials. We're thinking purse/wallet, inner tube, keys, compact camera and/or phone
It is designed to sit on the handlebars or the saddle.
- Handlebars - simply attach the two velcro straps over the bars and connect magnet at the back of the pouch to the handlebar stem to stop it rattling about
- Saddle - pass the two velcro straps through the saddle loops found on Brooks and Brompton saddles and connect the magnet to the seat post to stop rattling
Note: We don't actually recommend this for a telescopic seat post / saddle mounting combination. The top of the telescopic seat post is made from aluminium, so the magnet does not connect and stop it moving about when riding
The durable fabric is made from recycled plastic bottles and features a waxed finish that will age beautifully over time.
We love the embedded magnet at the back of the pouch, which along with velcro straps (another favourite of ours) keep it stable on the move and easy to remove
Note: The pouch (when empty) can also be used as a fridge magnet!
For the rider that wants a hassle free bag for just the essentials, or an excellent additional bag to use alongside another piece of front luggage.
It has a zip top to stop things falling / jumping out
Inside there is a small zip up pocket just big enough for a couple of credit cards of spare notes and a cargo net pocket to keep items from rattling around (our Sony RX100 compact camera sits in there like it was built for it!)
