Brompton G Line Chain 114 Links (9-speed)

This is a 9-speed chain as used on the 8-Speed (confusingly - it's an Alfine hub with 8 internal gears and one sprocket) G line which was introduced in 2024

This is 114 link chain which is correct for the 8-speed G line with a 54 tooth front chain ring and 20T rear sprocket (the default configuration on the G Line as it comes from the Brompton factory)

If you change your front chain ring to a smaller size to make climbing easier you will need to shorten the chain as follows: 

Tools required for chain removal:

• Master link pliers such as the Park Tool MLP-1.2

Tools required for removing links:

• Chain tool such as the Park Tool CT-5

Tools required for installation:

• You'll need those Master link pliers again

When installing we generally recommend using a new sprocket along with the new chain

This chain is for the Brompton G Line manual folding bike

This chain was introduced along with the Brompton G Line in autumn 2024
