Please note: This is the Brompton 4 speed rear wheel - the version that comes with the 2025 4 speed C Line (non "aero" rim with Schrader valve hole) and silver spokes
If you wanted to run your C line 4 speed as a single speed, this is the same wheel you just need to use a different sprocket set

Note: The Brompton 4speed wheel is only compatible with the advance rear frame found on the Brompton C, P Line and the Brompton C Line electric (also T Line but they didn't have these wheels fitted) The wheel rim has an 8mm Schrader valve hole (non Aero wheel) |
Tools required for removal:
- 5mm Allen key
Removing the rear wheel:
- Place the bike in the stand, fold the rear end and remove the tension from the chain by disengaging the sprocket from the chain.
- Use the 5mm Allen key to loosen the skewer, avoid the skewer nut from turning. remove the skewer.
- Deflate the tyre and let it pass through the brake calliper
Tools required for fitting:
- 5mm Allen key
- Torque wrench
Fitting the rear wheel:
Ensure it is the correct orientation
Seat the chain on the cassette
Insert the skewer and fit the skewer bolt
Tighten to 7NM using the torque wrench
re-engage the chain tension
