Brompton folding pedal - silver - left hand side

This is the enhanced model (introduced in 2012) Brompton folding left hand pedal. The pedal folds to make carrying easier and save space when the bicycle is in the folding position.

(This is left hand as you are sitting on the bicycle)

Compatibility

  • A Line / B75

This folding pedal is compatible with the A Line / B75 model - though not supplied as standard

  • C Line

This is the pedal supplied as standard on C Line models with silver detailing

  • P Line

This pedal was supplied as standard until 2024 when the P Line started being fitted with the Brompton super light removable left pedal

  • T Line

Although never fitted on the T Line - this pedal would fit / work (though you may also want to change the right hand one to match)

  • G Line

This pedal would fit the G Line, and as with fitting to a T Line, you may also want to change the other pedal to match

Tools required for installation

To fit this folding pedal you need:

  • 8mm allen key / hex wrench or a 6mm allen key / hex wrench
  • You may need a 24mm socket to remove the old folding pedal if you have one

Brompton left hand folding pedal history

The Brompton folding pedal was changed quite a bit for 2012 from the previous version including:

  • Brompton bike logo to match right hand pedal
  • Reflector screws are more substantial - using an allen key for tightening (rather than a socket wrench)
  • More robust low profile reflectors
  • Reflector lens is now the same size and colour as on the right hand pedal
  • Cage anodise colour is same as right hand pedal
  • Bearing seals upgraded
  • Enhanced grip - so your foot doesn't slide off the pedal
  • New bolt and spacer (now 10g lighter)
  • New bolt uses a 6mm/8mm allen key rather than the uncommon 24mm socket spanner
