Black Brompton 44T crank set
The new Brompton "Spider" crankset was introduced on new Brompton bicycles at the beginning of 2013.
This WAS originally known as the BLACK edition - where the chainring itself (as well as the chain guard) is in black. Now it is the standard colour on Brompton folding bikes
This is a replacement 44 tooth chain ring complete with guard - BLACK
It can be used to replace the 44 (as a like for like), 50 or 54 (to reduce the gearing and make going uphill that bit easier) teeth chain rings on Brompton "spider" chainsets
A standard 3 or 6 speed Brompton comes with a 50 tooth front chain ring - changing to 44 teeth will reduce the gearing by approx 14% - remember you will also need to shorten the chain
