Brompton Be Seen Light set

Introduced in 2023, a set of front and rear lights from Brompton to help you been seen on the road. These lights are USB rechargeable

Compatibility: For use on 16 inch wheel size Brompton folding bikes with integrated gear / brake levers fitted - and a Brompton saddle with rear light mount fixing point. 

Important note (as it says on the back of the box / packaging):

  • Make sure to charge regularly

Brompton Be Seen lights specifications: 
  • Output:
    • Front - 26 lumens
    • Rear - 11 lumens.
  • Modes: High, Low, Flash, Pulse and Strobe
  • Run Time: High: 2 hours, Low: 5 hours, Flash: 10 hours (200ms/300ms), Pulse: 25 hours, Strobe:10 hours
  • Charge_Time: 1.5 hours to full
  • Weight: TBC
  • Water / IP Rating: IP65 (dust and water jet tight)
  • Charging by Micro USB, 5V 1A. Charging cable not included

What is in the box?

Fitting instructions:
Front light fitting:
  • The front light fits to the Brompton Integrated brake lever
  • First align the mounting block with the groove on brake lever, place the handlebar mount on the handlebar mounting block making sure the holes aligned insert the two M3 socket head screws and tighten
  • To fix the light, place the light on the mount, with the power button lining up with the symbol on the mount, then turn the light clockwise until it locks in place

Tools required: 2.5mm Allen key / hex wrench
Rear light fitting: 
  • The rear light fits underneath the Brompton saddle (only the Brompton saddle!)
  • First install the mount into the saddle and insert the M5 button head screw and tighten
  • To fix the light, place the light on the mount, with the power button signing up with the symbol on the mount, then turn the light clockwise until it locks in place

Tools required: 3mm Allen key / hex wrench

Operating instructions: 

  • To turn on, press and hold the on/off switch
  • The switch between modes press the on/off switch 

Charging:

  • Lift the charge port cover and insert a USB charger
  • When charging the light to the left of the on/off button will light up red
  • When charged the light to the right of the power button will light up green

Compatibility:

The Be Seen light set is compatible with all 16 inch wheel Brompton folding bikes fitted with post 2013 brake levers (for fitting front light to integrated lever) and fitted with a Brompton saddle with the mounting point under the saddle  (for fitting the rear light to)

Note - these are not compatible with the A line Brompton as the levers do not allow the front lights to be fitted and the saddle does not have the connection point
