Brompton 50T e-Motiq / P Line chain ring

Introduced in 2026 with a new alloy lightweight crankset used on the following models:

P Line version 2

• The 4-speed comes with a 54T chainring as standard
• The 12-speed comes with a 50T chainring as standard 

T Line e-Motiq 1-speed and 4-speed

• The 1-speed T Line e-Motiq (discontinued in 2027) comes with a 54T chainring as standard
• The 4-speed T Line e-Motiq comes with a 54T chainring as standard

P Line e-Motiq 4-speed

• The 4-speed T Line e-Motiq comes with a 54T chainring as standard

Changing from a 54T to a 50T?

You will need to remove 2 links from your chain

You WILL find it easier to climb hills with the lower gearing (but you will currently also get greasy trousers!)

Tools required:

To remove / install this chainring you will need one of the following tools:

• Shimano TL-FC41 adapter installation tool
• Park Tool LRT-4 Shimano direct mount chainring locking tool
