Brompton C Line 12-speed folding bike

The 12-speed version of the C Line was originally introduced in 2024 for the 2025 model year (replacing the 6-speed)

Gearing wise it uses 4 derailleur gears combined with 3 internal hub gears - which gives 12 speeds in total

C Line changes for 2027 model year?

The only changes are:

• Colour range choice
• All 12-speed bikes now come with an advance roller rack as standard
• Seatpost length is determined by the handlebar style

• Steel Main frame and stem

Folded size: 585mm wide x 565mm tall by 270mm deep

Main frame: Choice of colours 

For 2027 the Brompton C Line colours are:

• Matt Black
• Lunar Ice
• Plum Red
• Racing Green

Note: Mix and match main frame / extremities is no longer possible

Decal: Depending upon main frame colour

The Brompton C Line comes with  is a choice of three handlebar styles:

• Low rise / straight bars - for a sporty ride position (previously known as the S type)
• Mid rise / classic Brompton style bars (previously known as the M type)
• High rise / classic Brompton style bars with a longer stem for a more upright riding position (previously known as the H type)

The C line comes with the Brompton legendary front carrier block fitted to the front of the bike. 

This allows carrying of the Brompton luggage bag range, in turn allowing you to carry your stuff without affecting the steering of the bike

This bike comes with black advance mudguards front and rear

New for the 2027 model year - all 12-speed C Line bikes come with an advance roller rack as standard

New advance roller wheels help keep the bike stable when folded 

Marathon racer tyres - black - with reflective sidewall for increased visibility to other road users
Low rolling resistance and good puncture protection 

16 inch (ETRTO size 349) wheels with double wall rim

• 28 spokes  on the rear
• 28 spokes on the front

The wheels have black hubs, silver spokes and black rims (the braking surface is still silver)

Schrader / car type 8mm valve 

Brompton standard saddle - 147mm wide

This saddle features chromoly rails and the fixing point for the Brompton Cateye or Be Seen rear light 

Another change for the 2027 model year is that (similar to the Brompton G Line), the seat height is determined by the handlebar type

The Low and Mid handlebar versions come with the standard seatpost
Standard seatpost was originally for riders with an inside leg measurement of up to 33 inches

The High handlebar version comes with an extended seatpost
(Originally it was stated: If you are taller - up to 35 inch inside leg - then an extended length seatpost can be fitted at no extra cost)

For very tall riders a telescopic seatpost is available at extra cost 

Saddle height insert is included - we recommend you fit that after riding the bike for a while

Along with the new C Line came a new advance suspension block

Front and rear reflectors are included

It's easy to retrofit battery lighting such as:

• Brompton Spanning solo rear light
• Brompton CatEye 500lm front light
• Brompton Be Seen light set
