Backcountry Research race strap - MTB
OK - so you could just find an old piece of velcro / duct tape and do this a cheaper way!
The Backcountry Research race strap basically just holds a spare tube / CO2 canister and maybe a tyre lever - firmly in place under your saddle - for when you are out racing
Sure - it will all get muddy on a muddy day - but this is minimalist race gear - saving you from stashing it in a rucksack / your back pocket
The tyre and tool(s) are half securely in place under the back of the saddle (the velcro wraps around the saddle rails) and double secured with an overlapping piece of velcro to make sure the main velcro strap doesn't come undone / loose
We used these on the BC Bike Race - 7 stages in British Colombia - very successfully
