Extended length Brompton seat post
The extended length Brompton seatpost is designed for the slightly taller rider (as a guide, with an inside leg 33 to 35 inches) - this seatpost gives up to 6cm extra saddle height than the standard Brompton seat pillar
Brompton extended length seatpost features:
- Chrome silver finish
- 31.8mm diameter
- 6cm longer than standard seatpost
PLEASE NOTE: The saddle will sit 60mm higher when the bike is in its folded position. This is due to the extra 60mm length on top of the seatpost
Tools required:
- 5mm Allen Key / hex wrench
Installation steps:
Replacing the standard seatpost with this longer one is one of the easiest DIY Brompton jobs, and involves the following steps:
- Remove the Pentaclip / saddle from the existing seatpost (you can leave the saddle attached to the Pentaclip) using an allen key
- Release the seatpost clamp
- Slide the old seatpost out (downwards) of the frame
- Insert the new seatpost into (upwards) the frame
- Fix the pentaclip / saddle to the new seatpost (Torque should be 15Nm for the Pentaclip)
Remember! Never lubricate your Brompton seatpost
